What makes you different? Why should a college coach recruit you?

“What makes me different from others is my drive to try new things and to do so with excellence. I started kicking my junior year of high school, trained with Matt Nelson, and attended several kicking camps in order to improve my skill. A college coach should recruit me because I am a team player and goal setter. Not only do I make an attempt to know every teammate by name and position, but I am on the sidelines encouraging them during the games and at practices. Each season, I set kicking statistical goals for me to achieve, and during the off season, I work to reach my weight room training goals”

Who inspires you? Why?

“My parents inspire me because they have spent countless hours investing in me. They have taught me to always give my best in everything I do and to be a respectful, honorable young man. My results on and off the field reflect their investment in my life.”

What have you learned from playing football?  Have you learned anything about yourself?

“I have learned from playing football to always enjoy the moment. Looking into the stands and seeing thousands of fans ringing cowbells while the band plays and student section chanting are priceless moments I always soaked in. From these moments I have learned to be grateful for what I have and to express my thankfulness through conversations, over the phone, or written letters.”

What was your most memorable moment while playing football?

“My most memorable moment while playing football was the Superdome trip for the 2018 5A State Championship Game. I know the outcome didn’t go in West Monroe’s favor, but the atmosphere of the Superdome is something I’ll never forget. I was able to kick my career-long game field goal there— 39 yards.”
