Name: Jearlmiah Ward

Class of: 2017
State: Louisiana
Height/Weight: 5’10” 177
Positions: CB/ATH
GPA/ACT: 3.5 GPA/20 ACT

One of the best and brightest to watch in the upcoming season will be Jearlmiah Ward of Central, Baton Rouge. Ward is part of a group of talented defensive young guns that will be returning for the Wildcats in the 2016 season. Ward’s instincts and keen knowledge of the game allows him to read and react quickly. His field tenacity and inner drive to be the best push him to do whatever he needs to do as a player to get better to help his team win. Ward is more than just a Corner, he plays a key role on the defensive side of the ball but he also excels as a special teams player, returning kickoffs and punt returns for the Wildcats.  There may even be a special play or two where you will see him take the field on offense.

Ward remains steadfast in the classroom maintaining a 3.5 GPA and currently has a 20 ACT, with plans to take it again this spring and next fall.

During the spring and summer Ward will be working out with his Central teammates during the summer conditioning program preparing for the upcoming season as well as playing for the Louisiana Bootleggers 7 on 7 Team.  When I asked him how it felt to know he made the Louisiana Bootleggers his reply “Being able to play for the Louisiana Bootleggers this coming season is an honor.  So many great players have played for the organization and represented the State of Louisiana.  I can’t wait to be able to do the same.” said Ward
